Laura believes that we are surrounded by beautiful and intriguing images but that it is up to us to choose what to see and how to see it.

In her travels--whether every-day or far afield--Laura seeks to draw from her surroundings true images that illustrate the art that is everywhere in life.

For this reason all of the images that Laura captures are presented as they were viewed by her through the lens, and have not been manipulated or enhanced in any way before being printed.

Laura is particularly drawn in by cityscapes and many of her ideas for photographs are triggered by the line and shadow of structures or by narrower slices of the scene that a city sets before our eyes. Locations that Laura uses for shooting include New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Miami in the United States, Barbados and elsewhere in the islands, as well as London, Paris, Berlin and other locales in Europe.

Laura was born and raised in the Washington, DC area and lived and worked there for a number of years. She has also lived in Boston and Brussels, Belgium. She now resides in Miami Beach with her husband, David, a writer.
